The story

Raised by acclaimed climbers Monica Kambic and Klemen Mali, 24 year old Alenka Mali attempts to become the first woman to successfully land a snowboard BASE jump from Goat Mountain in British Columbia, Canada. As she prepares for the jump, Alenka shares a rare and deeply meaningful moment with her mother, an event that happens only once every few years in her life. This quiet convergence arrives at the same time she is facing the biggest challenge she has ever taken on.

featuring

Years of preparation for five seconds balanced between life and death. Alenka’s story has quietly traveled across the world, screened on nearly every continent, and held by audiences far beyond the mountain where it began. In 2024, it was met with an echo of connection, receiving the Audience Choice Award at the Whistler Film Festival, right where the film was shot.
