At 3,300 meters above sea level in the Peruvian Andes, Indigenous communities have harvested salt by hand for over 600 years, predating the Inca Empire.

Through the eyes of Laurita, a 65-year-old salt worker, the film explores how the people of Maras reclaimed ownership of the salt mine and how this ancestral practice continues to shape future generations.
