Boyeco is a landfill located in the outskirts of my hometown, Temuco, Chile. During 2015 I visited this place on my own, looking to document an area that not many journalists from my hometown have been able to get to. I spoke with the local workers and In an effort for gaining their trust, I was able to photograph them and their surroundings. Huts have been built by the garbage collectors that are daily looking for recyclables, which is their main way of earning money. Some of them sleep here, as well dogs and birds. Working conditions here are not acceptable and one of the many reasons why I wanted to document this is to create awarness of the living conditions that many of this people are experiencing on a daily basis.
